vWIZ-GDS is WIOWIZ's headless layout I/O and closure engine. It reads and writes GDS and OASIS deterministically, diffs and XORs layout, ingests the markers your signoff tools produce, and traces power and connectivity, then emits a ranked, customer-readable verdict, telling you which power, metal, marker, net, layer or closure reason is blocking tapeout and the exact next action, all without opening a GUI.
Reads and writes GDS and OASIS with a proven round-trip: the same layout written twice is byte-identical, and no records vanish silently.
Semantic compare of two layouts and integer-precision layout XOR over shapes, layers and hierarchy, so real geometric changes surface clearly.
Imports DRC, LVS and antenna reports and clusters findings by rule, net, layer and bbox instead of dumping thousands of unranked markers.
Flood-fill tracing of power-ground nets to report disconnected islands and floating labels, catching supply pins declared connected but not physically touching.
Per-layer area, via and marker density scored to OK, WARN or FAIL, giving a fast read on where the metal stack is under pressure.
Every finding is classified and ranked, then written as a customer-readable verdict plus a machine-readable evidence record for CI.
| Stage | Physical, layout I/O and GDS/OASIS closure diagnosis |
|---|---|
| Formats | GDS and OASIS read and write, deterministic round-trip |
| Operations | Info and stats, round-trip copy, structural diff, layout XOR, net trace, marker load, headless raster preview |
| Signoff inputs | DRC, LVS and antenna marker reports, plus power-net names |
| Outputs | Ranked blockers with net, layer, cell and bbox, a customer verdict and a machine-readable evidence record |
| Flow | Native stage in the WIOWIZ CLI, headless, evidence-sealed |
